Files saved to Hard Drive?

Hi I have a question about using public computers.

For example if I am editing a doc or xls file (from my usb drive) on a hotel computer and save the file back on the usb drive. Is there a copy that gets saved on hotel computer by any chance? Is there any possibility somebody could recover this file?

No printing will be done.
