Hard Drive Foreign Status Help!

To be brief, I recently reinstalled Win7 on my computer and at the same time installed a new Corsair SSD as the boot drive and a 3TB drive as the data drive. When I first installed Win7 on the SSD it reserved 100GB as system space. When I added the 3TB drive as a GPT disk (to have all the space allocated as one continuous drive), the 100gb moved to the 3tb drive. I moved all my data to the 3tb drive and proceeded with life. The next day when I booted up there was no 3TB drive available. Device Manager said it was OK but Win Disk Management says it is failed. When I used DrivePart it said that that 3TB of the spanned drive was foreign with data incomplete and the reserved 100mb simple drive is ok. I really have no choice by to add the main drive even if I lose some (or all of the data) which the program says may happen. Most was backed up except for the work done the day the drive was installed. I am concerned that the 100MB simple drive will be lost and that this may cause my SSD boot drive to not function. When I disconnected the 3tb drive from the computer, it would not boot up until I reconnected the 3TB drive. Does anyone know if this can happen? I would rather just leave the drive sitting there unused than to have to start over on my SSD.
