My friend's elderly dad is getting some kind of cell phone - I don't think they've settled yet on what kind. She would like to be able to know where his phone is and therefore presumably where he is, in case she were to get a call from him with a problem with him unable to tell her where he is.
She uses an iPhone. Do trackers exist that are cross-platform, or does she need to make sure he gets an iPhone too?
What are the basic requirements for each phone to have? Would his phone have to have "the other half" of the app on it? That would affect what phone he gets. I'm thinking "yes" but am not sure.
Has anyone played around with this stuff?
