Wireless Dropping

Hello All,

I just started service with COX and purchased a Motorola Surfboard SBG6580 modem/router/wireless. Hardline connections work fine, however I am unable to establish wireless connections.

The wireless is identifiable and can be logged onto, however there is no internet access. Sometimes i am able to get an IP assigned to a device, but not always. At the same time this is happening, the ethernet ports work just fine. I have the exact same issue with an alternate modem and router pair that had worked at another residence.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Adjustments to the router settings?
